Rainy Lake with Dick & Michelle

We love fishing and I think we have a new favorite lake. It is amazingly beautiful and the fishing is good. We went with some great friends (new friends for Maureen). It was a long day of driving, fishing snacking and ice cream but WELL worth it.

This is the first of many fish I caught. I was amazing!

Dick did pretty good too!

Michelle was so much fun. I think this is the one fish that she caught that she was actually able to hold on to. They were feisty.

Something tried to eat my fish!

Dick caught an eelpout! It was just a baby but it was so ugly I had to take a picture of it!

They were so feisty. I had to hold on with two hands so they wouldn't get away before the picture was taken. When they did slip out of my hand they usually landed on Adam's lap. It was hilarious!

All I'm going to say about Adam's fish is check out the size of his fingers in the pictures. he he!

Dick kept catching the buoy.

... and there it is

The lake was beautiful!

The end to a great day on the lake!

Despicable Me

If you haven't seen it I would recommend going to this movie. It's so cute and funny.
My students gave me a call and invited me to go with them.

4th of July w the Tuttles

The 4th of July this year was an amazing day. The weather was great and our friends Damon, Amanda and Asher were able to come boating with us on Pokegama. We did have a little sun shower but the weather was beautiful and the water was warmish.
Adam and I brought a mini grill on our boat and the Tuttles brought the food and we cooked on the boat. It was a good day!

He won't open his eyes if the sun is shining on him without his glasses on!

Not bad...

... a little too deep and not warm enough.

And he's out!

STRAWBERRIES!!

This was my second trip of the season to pick strawberries. I invited my aunt Tina and her two boys and their two friends to come with me. I now have WAY too many strawberries. Their strawberries (having 4 hungry young men staying at the cabin) were cone

I was so proud of them for getting up really early with me and picking!

Bell Festival

June 2010
Our Redeemer Lutheran Bell Choir took a trip to Rochester to attend a bell festival. We spent 3 days learning and practicing for a huge 500 person concert. It really was great.

We stopped at Jimmy John's for lunch!

We had three car fulls of bell equipment and supplies to unload.

The other car and their adults

The fun car!

The Holiday Inn Exp. and continental breakfast

Here we all are. It was amazing sounding.
